This year has been filled with excitement as Ticket to Learning, a company I have dreamed of for years, was launched. It has been exciting seeing the Light Comes to Shadow Mountain unit study become a reality. It’s been even more exciting seeing you all using it in your homeschools and hearing your stories and feedback. I have also been enjoying working hard on even more products in the background. In that way, it’s been a very good year.
However, there have been some challenges too. I’ve experienced the normal ups and downs of starting a business, of course. That’s a roller coaster I knew I was getting on. We have also had some issues as a family this year, including some scary medical issues for me that have yet to be fully resolved. We aren’t entirely sure what’s in store with all of that yet. And now, my husband is facing medical issues that are more significant than we initially understood.
With all of these things, I have made the difficult decision to temporarily pause work on new products for Ticket to Learning so I can focus more on my health, supporting my husband, and being present for my family as we work through these challenges. We will continue to offer and support the products we have already released. I will also need to pause hosting live Professional Development Book Club meetings, though I encourage you to continue to read the books on your own.
I know many of you are eagerly anticipating new releases, and I’m sorry that this only sets those releases out farther. I look forward to coming out on the other side of this season and jumping back into providing quality homeschool products that bring adventure to your home by inspiring deeper learning through books and imagination.
